i'm back...

Wow... seriously going to try and do better! Sara Bradley is now 5 1/2 months old... time flies when you're having fun! She was born December 14th and weighed 6.9lbs and was 19 inches long! Carter is 2 1/2 and is the BEST big brother in the world! I'm not sure who gives Sara Bradley more kisses in a days time! He takes great care of her and can make her laugh more than anyone else. What a fun time! We are starting baby food next week and I can't wait... Sara Bradley is going to love it! I think she's getting tired of her rice cereal!

This weekend we are taking the kids camping! I'm so excited... just hope the weather is nice! Carter is so excited... he has asked me ten times if he can eat marshmellows... i'm thinking he saw "Little Bill" eat marshmellows with his dad on their camping trip. I'll be sure to post some pics!

What else is going on in my life... well i don't guess much. Just working and keeping kids! I wouldn't have it any other way!

My goal is to update at least once every 2 weeks! Erica... you are responsible for making me do this!

Sara Bradley!

I know you are all so proud of me... I forgot how to upload more than one photo at a time so i just uploaded a couple! Here is our 4d picture of Sara Bradley... everyone thinks she looks just like Carter!

I'm back...

Surprise! I decided to take a few minutes to update the past 6 months of my life :) I guess I never update because I feel like nothing interresting enough is going on... just a pregnant mom chasing a 2 year old precious boy and taking care of and picking up after a daddy that always hunts!

We will welcome Sara Bradley to the world on Monday... yay! We have to be there at 5:30 a.m. and i'm not looking forward to waking up so early! The sacrifices us moms make!!! We are so excited to finally meet her! I'm not exactly sure how Carter is going to take not being the center of attention... he has it all right now! I hope that he adjusts well... i'm really worried about it. He's so attached to his mommy right now so I sure hope Brad is ready for all the work he's going to have to do with Sara Bradley!

Other than being pregnant and doing the normal day to day activities nothing else is really going on... I've finished all my christmas shopping and wrapped all my gifts, i've got the hospital bag packed and carseat installed in my car, Christmas decorations have been up for a week, i've bought groceries for dinner for the next 2 weeks, i've taken care of all my "duties" at work, bought my "angel tree kid" all of his gifts and have them delivered them to the church... by the way that is one tradition that Brad and I have done since we got married and I highly recommend doing it! Our church puts together a Christmas Tree and hangs angels on it giving a description of a child in our community that basically doesn't have much... parents fill out applications to be a part of this program so it really is kids that don't get anything for Christmas... last year we did a family of 3 and i wanted to do that again this year but i got to the tree a little late and only got one child (3 year old male) It makes me so sad to think there are kids that for one don't know the meaning behind Christmas and two that don't get any gifts! The child that we got... the parents put on their "application" that he needs socks, underware and a wintercoat. How sad... of course we bought all of those and so much more! I just wish i could be a fly on the wall to see that little boys reaction come Christmas morning! It really makes me appreciate what little i do have! I seriously recommend for everyone to do something like this! We also have participated in the Operation Christmas Child Program the past 2 years! I had never heard of it before until my friend Erica told me about it... she does it each year in memory of her dad... so we now do it each year for her! You feel up a shoebox with stuff for a little boy or girl and it is deliever to a child in need somewhere in the world... once it's delivered i will get an email telling me where it went... i'm so excited to find out! This year she collected 55 shoeboxes... that will make 55 children very excited! http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/index/

Time to get back to work... I'll try and do better about updating! Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas if i don't make another post before then! Much Love!

It's been awhile...

Well since my last post we have had some exciting things happen... We were awarded with Yard of the Month in our neighborhood! We also found out that we are expecting a baby girl! Yay! We are super excited!

Carter took his first boat ride a few weekends ago and LOVED it! We went and bought him a lifejacket and hit the water. We stayed out on the water all day long. Carter loved the sand... him and brad tried making sand castles but Carter would knock them over just as soon as brad took the bucket away. I took lots of pictures and videos!

My next doctor's appointment is Aug. 3rd! We will get to do an ultrasound and check out all the organs and confirm that it is a girl! I'm super excited!

Locks of Love!

I had 13 inches cut off my hair on May 20th! I donated my hair to locks of love! I still can't get used to how short it is... I've never had hair this short!

Happy Birthday Jenilyn!

Today Jenilyn is celebrating her 23rd birthday! Yay!
.
So I'm finally figuring out this whole blog thing and I really think i'm going to enjoy this! I'm pretty sure my blog will be all about Carter Max... afterall he is our pride and joy!

Last night we had bunko at Claire's house and a few of us decided to stay a play a round of SPOONS afterwards... some played SPOONS, FORKS and KNIVES... no names mentioned!!! haha! We did not get home until 10:00 but had so much fun... we must play again soon! Anyone interrested in being a sub in our group let me know... we usually have someone that cannot attend.

Update on our life... We are expecting number 2! I am a little over 11 weeks and can't wait to find out what we are having! I will be sure to keep everyone updated! Brad is playing softball with his friends and our church so we are at the ballpark about 3 nights during the week which is great because i don't have to cook much!!!! Here lately when i do cook i've been whipping up some crock pot meals... I've got some great recipes i'll have to post for you to try! Other than softball, working and being mommy I don't have much going on!

Onto my favorite subject... Carter! He is 20 months old and doing great! We are very busy! I am so blessed to be able to stay at home with him half a day. I recently bought him a little pool to keep at our house and he loves it! We usually go outside after his nap and play in the pool for hours! I knew he would love it because my parents have a pool and he would stay in the water all day long if we would let him. This past weekend he even jumped off the diving board to me... we definitely have to keep a close eye on him!

Carter's new thing is that he asks "Why?" after we tell him "No" and normally we follow with saying "because i said so" and then explain. So the other day he asked me a question and i said "Why?" he followed by saying "because i said so"... it was so funny. It is crazy how much they pay attention when you think they aren't. One more thing that he is doing right now that I love... he loves to give kisses... now if he falls down or gets hurt somehow he'll run to whomever is closest and say "kiss it" and point to whatever body part he "hurt" It is so cute! I've definitely got the sweetest little boy in the world!
